Kanazawa

Kanazawa is a historical city on the sea of Japan. It was the jumping off point for our trip to Hakusan (see previous installment). We spent a bit of time exploring. Not much commentary on this. There is a large historical district, including the castle (above) and beautful extensive gardens. There are many quirky modern buildings too. All in all a very nice place to hang out, and we had hot sunny weather unlike our days on the mountain!
