Last Days in Tokyo

The last weeks in Tokyo were quite stressful in the ways you would expect. A lot of work packing and shipping boxes and closing accounts and trying to finalise everything, all with the nagging feeling that we had not completely understood what we were supposed to do.

Also we went out a lot. Mostly to cocktail bars.

Back at the flat our belongings seem to have multiplied a lot in the past year...

Tokyo Station.

Bar Evans in Ginza. Best Martinis I've ever had.

Donating furniture to the downstairs neighbours.

Going away dinner with the office.

... and karaoke afterwards!

Suitcases packed.

We went for dinner in Roppongi, with food cooked on a straw-fired grill. Was delicious. Some health and safety questions, but delicious.

Last drink in Tokyo so we went big -- the cocktail bar at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, on the 45th floor. Apparently this is the highest bar in Tokyo. Drinks were not as good as Evans, but the people watching was top tier. (Also views)

The Skytree on our last night in the flat.

All packed up and ready to go.

We decided to make a final visit to the temple across the road before the final inspection of the flat... at which point the post-office called to say there was a problem with one of our boxes....
